A Scripture For Every Room

To Help Saturate Our Lives with Scripture I Love To Post Scriptures In Different Rooms Of The House: Here's A List Of Scriptures For Every Room In The House -

Let’s talk about how we can saturate our homes with scripture. God’s word states:

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”Psalms 119:11

Not only should we hide God’s word in our heart, but God also tells us in Deuteronomy 6:6-9 that we should teach the commandments and word of God to our children and that scripture should be written on the posts of our house:

“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.” –Deuteronomy 6:6-9

With so many bible verses about memorizing scripture (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 119:9, 2 Timothy 2:15, Colossians 3:16, Proverbs 3:3-4), God makes it very obvious to us that this is an important matter to Him and should be to us as well.

I have been trying to find scriptures for every room in my house, and I realized maybe others would like to see some of the ones I’ve come across. So I made a list of scriptures that are great for each room of the house to serve as daily reminders of God’s word.

Not only does it help remind us of what God has said, but seeing scriptures daily can help us memorize them, too! ( Lord knows I definitely need help in this area…my mommy brain has a hard time remembering anything these days). I also want my kids to see the verses I chose and remember them. There’s nothing like reading the same verses everyday to plant them in your memory and heart.

Before you read these, I want you to know that ANY verse in the Bible is good for ANY room in your home. I just have these separated by rooms in case you want scripture that could pertain to the use the room has in your home.

For example, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do with thy might”Ecclesiastes 9:10 would work for a kitchen or a laundry room because those are the rooms we most often work with our hands, and it helps remind us to do the best job we can with a servant’s heart.

(All the scriptures below are written in the King James Version)
