When we decided to make over our laundry room, I knew I wanted to add some kind of art or quote to decorate the space. Goodwill has 50% off the entire store every other Saturday, and I always find project items I know I can fix up or do something with. This double paned glass frame was one of those things I bought but didn’t know at the time what it would be used for.
To create the vinyl decal for the sign I used my silhouette cameo software. Using the shape tool I created a rectangle and made it the exact size of the frame I planned to place the decal on.
After I had the correct size I created my text. Since we are striving to Put A Scripture In Every Room of our home, I chose a Bible verse that would complement our laundry room. Next I made sure the text would fit inside the rectangle as it would appear on the frame.
After I had the text how I wanted it, I cut it out and weeded the negative space. I applied clear contact paper over it so I could transfer it to the frame. After cleaning the glass I then applied it to the glass frame.
I made a Free Vinyl Cut File For The Scripture Sign if you are interested in using this in your home. You just have to download it and resize the text to fit your own project and cut it out on your machine. I hope you enjoy!
Be sure to check out the video below to see exactly how I applied the vinyl to the glass.
