DIY PEGBOARD JEWELRY ORGANIZER

Sometimes we just need a little organization to make things easier. When our homes and spaces become chaotic and messy, it can add unnecessary stress. I really enjoy finding ways to simplify my home and save time by finding things easier. It also helps to know where to put things while cleaning up, if they have a designated spot. When my tiny jewelry rack started overflowing with bracelets and baubles, I knew I needed to create something to organize the mess. This project turned out to be super easy and fun! Once everything is put together you'll love organizing everything on the pegboard. Not only does it look pretty, but it will make your closet feel put together.

HOW TO MAKE A PEGBOARD JEWELRY ORGANIZER

TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Pegboard Cut To The Size You Want
  • 1×3 Wood Boards For The Frame of Your Pegboard
  • White Paint For The Board (Optional)
  • Wood Stain For The Frame (Optional)
  • Nails & Hammer Or Nail Gun (To attach board to frame)
  • 1-2 Pegboard Hook Kits (These Include the spacers for the wall)

There is a list of recommended products for this project at the end of this post if you’re looking for specific items.

STEPS TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT:

  1. Purchase Materials
  2. Cut Pegboard and Frame To Your Custom Size
  3. Paint Pegboard White.
  4. Stain Wood Frame (I recommend doing this before attaching it to the pegboard. I did it after and then had to tape off the pegboard so I didn’t accidentally stain it.)
  5. Assemble frame and attach pegboard to the back.
  6. Configure spacers (instructions will come with your hook kit) and attach to the wall.
  7. place hooks in holes and hang your jewelry, scarves, sunglasses or anything else that is “hangable”.
