Kids love smoothies! Since they are SO EASY to make, it’s an easy way to involve your kids in the kitchen. Every child should learn the basics of cooking and preparing food. This two-ingredient recipe I’m sharing today is a great introduction to the kitchen. If your child can place fruit in a bowl, they can help you make this!
All you need to make this smoothie is frozen bananas and frozen strawberries. I don’t measure what I put in. When we have overripe strawberries or bananas I freeze them until someone wants a smoothie. We tend to have plenty of it on hand. You can also try other kinds of fruit if you like as well.
When we’re ready to make a smoothie, we simply process it in the food processor, adding a little liquid (if needed) then we insert our favorite reusable straws and enjoy! It’s simple, EASY and a lot of fun for the kids to help. You can also freeze your smoothie mix for a bit to make healthy Ice Cream! YUM
